Advantages and disadvantages of ball valve knowledge

Ball valve characteristic one; wear-resisting; Due to the alloy steel spray welding of the valve core and alloy steel overlay welding of the sealing ring of the hard sealed ball valve, it will not cause significant wear during opening and closing. (Its hardness coefficient is 65-70):

Two; Good sealing performance; Due to the fact that the sealing of the hard sealed ball valve is manually polished, it can only be used after the valve core and sealing ring are fully matched. Therefore, its sealing performance is reliable.

Three; Light switch; Due to the bottom of the sealing ring of the hard sealed ball valve being tightly fastened to the valve core by the spring, the switch becomes very light when the external force exceeds the pre tightening force of the spring.

Four; Long service life: It has been widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, power generation, papermaking, atomic energy, rockets, and people's daily lives.

气动钢衬四氟法兰球阀

The pneumatic ball valve has a compact structure, reliable sealing, simple structure, and easy maintenance. The sealing surface and spherical surface are always sealed and not easily corroded by the medium. It is easy to operate and maintain. Suitable for general working media such as water, solvents, acids, natural gas, etc. It is mainly used to cut off or connect media in pipelines, and can also be used for fluid regulation and control. Compared with other types of valves, pneumatic ball valves have advantages such as angular displacement output torque, fast opening speed, stability and reliability, and wide applicability.

The thrust bearing reduces the friction torque of the valve stem, allowing it to operate smoothly and flexibly for a long time. Anti static function: Install springs between the ball, valve stem, and valve body to dissipate static electricity generated during the switching process. Due to the good self-lubricating properties of materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene, the friction loss with the ball is small, and the service life of pneumatic ball valves is long. Low fluid resistance: Pneumatic ball valves are one of the valve categories with low fluid resistance. Even for reduced diameter pneumatic ball valves, their fluid resistance is quite small. Reliable valve stem sealing: Due to the valve stem only rotating without lifting, the packing seal of the valve stem is not easily damaged, and the sealing ability increases with the increase of medium pressure. Good sealing performance of valve seat: The sealing ring made of elastic materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene is easy to seal, and the sealing ability of pneumatic ball valves increases with the increase of medium pressure. Ball valves have the advantage of low fluid resistance, and full bore ball valves have almost no flow resistance. Simple structure, small size, and light weight. Tight and reliable. It has two sealing surfaces, and the sealing surface material of the ball valve is widely made of various plastics, with good sealing performance and complete sealing. It is also widely used in vacuum systems with simple operation, fast opening and closing, and high-performance ball valves

From fully open to fully closed, simply rotate 90 degrees for easy remote control.

Easy to maintain, ball valve structure is simple, and the sealing ring is generally movable, making disassembly and replacement relatively convenient. When the valve is fully open or fully closed, the sealing surface between the ball and the valve seat is isolated from the medium. When the medium passes through, the sealing surface of the valve will not be corroded. It has a wide range of applications, with diameters ranging from a few millimeters to a few meters, and can be used for applications ranging from high vacuum to high pressure. Due to its wiping properties during opening and closing, ball valves can be used in media containing suspended solid particles. High processing accuracy, high cost, and not easy to use at high temperatures. If there are impurities in the pipeline, it is easy to be blocked by impurities, causing the valve to fail to open.

Parameter level

Nominal pressure or pressure rating: pn1.0-32.0MPa, ANSI rating 150-900, jis10-20k; Nominal diameter or outer diameter: dn6-900, NPs 1/4-36; Connection methods: flange, butt welding, thread, socket welding, etc; Applicable temperature: -196 ℃~540 ℃; Drive modes: manual, worm gear transmission, pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, pneumatic hydraulic, electro-hydraulic linkage; Valve body materials: WCB, zg1cr18Ni9ti, zg1cr18Ni12mo2Ti, CF8 (304), CF3 (304L), CF8M (316), cf3m (316L), and Ti. Different materials can be used for media such as water, steam, oil, nitric acid, acetic acid, oxidizing media, urea, etc. Advantages and disadvantages of ball valves: ① The lowest flow resistance (actually 0); ② During operation (without lubricant), it will not get stuck and can be reliably applied to corrosive media and low boiling point liquids; ③ Complete sealing can be achieved within a large range of pressure and temperature; ④ It can achieve rapid opening and closing, with some structures having an opening and closing time of only 0.05-0.1s, ensuring its suitability for the automation system of the test bench. When quickly opening and closing the valve, there is no impact on the operation Spherical closure can automatically locate at the boundary position; ⑥ The sealing on both sides of the working medium is reliable; ⑦ When the valve is fully open and fully closed, the sealing surface between the ball and the valve seat is isolated from the medium, so the medium passing through the valve at high speed will not cause erosion to the sealing surface; ⑧ Compact structure and light weight make it the most reasonable valve structure for low-temperature medium systems The valve body is symmetrical, especially the welded valve body structure, which can well withstand the stress from the pipeline; ⑩ The closure component can withstand the high pressure difference during closure. (11) The ball valve with a fully welded valve body can be directly buried underground to prevent corrosion of the valve components. The service life of Zui is up to 30 years. It is a valve for oil and gas pipelines.

Disadvantages of ball valves: ① Due to the fact that the sealing ring material of the main valve seat of the ball valve is polytetrafluoroethylene, it is inert to almost all chemicals, and has comprehensive characteristics such as low friction coefficient, stable performance, low aging, wide temperature range, and good sealing performance. However, the physical properties of polytetrafluoroethylene, including high coefficient of expansion, sensitivity to cold flow, and poor thermal conductivity, require that the design of valve seat seals must be based on these characteristics. Therefore, when the sealing material becomes hard, the reliability of the seal will be compromised. Moreover, polytetrafluoroethylene has a low temperature resistance rating and can only be used under conditions below 180 ℃. Beyond this temperature, the sealing material will age. In long-term use, it is generally not used at 120 ℃ Its regulating performance is worse than that of globe valves, especially pneumatic valves (or electric valves).
